This is a 16-Hour Classroom Session with 2-5 Hour at Range on FRIDAY & SATURDAY, May 3 & 4, 2024 *ADJUSTED CLASS DAYS DUE TO NATIONAL POLICE WEEK MAY 10-16, 2024* Our Maryland Wear & Carry Permit Training that covers the Maryland state-required course material as well as instructor-guided range training to ensure trainees meet the gun safety; application process, and proficiency requirements. Students will leave with an understanding of carry procedures, legal issues and use of force. Applicants for Personal Protection must shoot a course of at least 25-rounds from no further than 15 yards and score of 70% accuracy during live-fire qualifications. This is an in-person course that requires participants to attend the class and live-range. Maryland Small Arms Range, Inc. 9801 Fallard Court, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 Range Safety Briefing: 7:15 A.M. Course of Fire Practice & Qual: 7:30 A.M. - 9:30 A.M. REPORT TO NATIONAL HARBOR CLASSROOM @ 10:00 AM Lunch: 1:00 P.M - 1:35 P.M. Session End: 6:00 P.M. COURSE LENGTH: 16-Hour Classroom Training & 2-Hour Range Qualifications IN-CLASS LIMIT: 20 Students STUDENT REQUIREMENTS: · -Maryland Residents must possess their Handgun Qualification License (HQL) You can take the Online/Hybrid or In-Person 4-Hour course · Students must arrive on time and be present for the entire duration of class. ON-SITE/COURSE POLICY No Ammunition, nor Firearms, including concealed firearms are allowed on this facility, nor into the classroom, without advance approval -- which is a strict training environment. When permitted to bring firearms to class, Repeating, Do Not Bring Ammunition to class. All students will be required to read and sign a liability waiver prior to the start of class, for security reasons due to handling firearms. No Exceptions! The document will also include a Firearms Safety Briefing and Range Safety Briefing.
