DC Concealed Carry Weapon INITIAL Permit (16+2) 60% Virtual + National Harbor Classroom + MSAR Range


Description

This is an Interactive Virtual ONLINE / HYBRID DC 16-Hour Concealed Carry Weapon Permit Session, PLUS includes a 2-Hour Live Range mandatory requirement-- satisfies 18-Hour DC requirement, and is available to DC Residents and Non-Residents It is 60% ONLINE IN REAL-TIME, USING 2-WAY VIDEO COMMUNICATIONS (ZOOM PLATFORM) -- YOU MUST BE COMPUTER SAVVY* YOU MUST USE: either a Laptop or Desktop **No Cell Phones permitted** Person’s signing up in the same household must use separate computers COURSE OUTLINE: DAY ONE (Monday) VIRTUAL CLASSROOM - 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Link will be provided to you on morning of class) Discuss: DC Firearms Portal, show you how to create a profile to use the portal, and discuss DC specific laws on Self-Defense, etc. DAY TWO (Tuesday) VIRTUAL CLASSROOM - 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Discuss: Firearms Safety Training Course; Regulations governing concealed carry licenses; use of lethal force, prohibited areas, suitability requirements, etc. DAY THREE (Saturday) IN-PERSON / HYBRID Session - 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM REPORT TO NATIONAL HARBOR TRAINING ACADEMY, 6710 Oxon Hill Road, Suite 320, National Harbor, MD 20745 -Ample Free Parking Discuss: Deadly Force, Case Study, Course of Fire, conduct Shoot / No Shoot Judgmental scenario, and Skill Drills, written test, etc. Lunch 12 Noon –12:30 PM Can bring lunch/snacks -- Refrigerator on-site DAY FOUR (Sunday) Maryland Small Arms Range – Live-Fire Quals REPORT TO MARYLAND SMALL ARMS RANGE, 9801 Fallard Court, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772 7:00 AM SHARP – 10:00 AM Certificate Issued IN-CLASS LIMIT: 20 Students STUDENT REQUIREMENTS: · Students must bring a valid driver’s license or state issued ID to class with them for verification · Students must arrive on time and be present for the entire duration of class WHAT'S INCLUDED: +Use of Our Firearm +50 Rounds of Ammunition for Mandatory Course of Fire +Classroom Instruction +Firearm Safety +District & State Laws +Mechanics & Operation +Fundamentals and Marksmanship - Cleaning & Inspection +Lead Poisoning +Range Safety Rules +Course of Fire Practice on Firearm Simulator +2 Targets +Foam Ears + Ear Muffs +Safety Glasses WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED: +DC Application Fee - $75 +DC Fingerprint Fee - $35 both done @ Metropolitan Police Department on day of appointment COURSE NOTE: · For more information, call: 202-727-4275 or visit: https://mpdc.dc.gov/firearms . REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY ALL SALES ARE FINAL -- No Refund; No Exceptions. I acknowledge and accept these terms. ON-SITE/COURSE POLICY No Ammunition, nor Firearms, including concealed firearms are allowed on this facility, nor into the classroom, without advance approval -- which is a strict training environment. When permitted to bring firearms to class, Repeating, Do Not Bring Ammunition to class. All students will be required to read and sign a liability waiver prior to the start of class, for security reasons due to handling firearms. No Exceptions! The document will also include a Firearms Safety Briefing and Range Safety Briefing.
